Sr. IT Analyst
Numerous responsibilities including developing and maintaining tools
for use by Duke staff and by external users (alumni & donors)
using Coldfusion, jQuery and Flex. Most applications are backed by Coldfusion
CFCs which access data in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and IBM DB2 on
OS/390. The front-ends of these tools are built with either plain HTML,
jQuery, Flash, and Flex. Additional responsibilities include setup and
maintenance of a linux-based server for bulk mailing (using Qmail)
and Secure FTP. Migrated from Oracle 9i to SQL Server 2000 in 2004, and to
SQL Server 2005 in 2007.
Also responsible for automating processes to integrate our data with
third party applications using Perl. Currently, I have deployed 5
applications written in Flex, including a large reporting application
that was ported from VB.NET. Most applications are internal, but
can be demonstrated in person.
